Ask Archie how a Tuscan column should be proportioned, what mantel suits a Federal parlor, or how two pattern books disagree. Archie answers with cited sources and hands you drawings you can build from.
You ask a design or technical question: proportions, an era or style, what pairs with what, detailing, and BIM notes. Archie answers like a consultant. It explains, cites the firms and sources, asks one question when the request is vague, then recommends drawings as evidence.
Consultant answers with citations. Archie explains the question and names the firm and the source for each claim.
Compare how firms or sources differ. Ask how two pattern books treat the same element and read the difference in the answer.
BIM-ready ArchieSI Originals. IFC and DXF files you can drop into Revit or CAD, with inline 3D and 2D previews.
License and download in a couple of clicks. Every download is stamped and the firm gets paid.
Works inside your AI assistant. Connect Claude or another assistant to Archie at https://archiesi.com/mcp.
ArchieSI searches licensed collections from architecture firms and answers with the drawings it used. Every answer cites the source asset and the firm, and every call is written to that firm's usage log.

Tools
search_catalog(query, image?, filters) is a specific lookup. It returns ranked asset cards plus a ranked firm list. Use it when the person names a plate, a firm, or an element. For an open design question, call explore instead. Include View and License links only for items you actually recommend.
get_asset_card(asset_id) returns a short summary, a preview link when the asset has a plate image or an Originals DXF elevation, plain-language license terms, and the stored price or priced at checkout. Include the View and License links when you recommend this item.
compare_assets(ids) returns a side-by-side comparison. Include View and License links only for items you actually recommend.
explore(question, image?, max_firms) is the first call for an open design question. It returns a cross-firm cited answer. Include View and License links only for items you actually recommend.
ask_firm(firm, question) runs RAG scoped to one firm and returns an answer with cited asset IDs. It replaces v3's ask_firm_assistant. Include View and License links only for items you actually recommend.
request_license(asset_id, terms, project) returns the site License & download URL. Show that link. Sign-in and checkout stay on the site. There is no in-chat purchase.
get_delivery_link(license_id) returns an expiring link for the Revit plugin or download.
request_license returns a link to the item page on archiesi.com (ref=mcp). The buyer signs in there and confirms checkout. get_delivery_link returns a 15-minute download link for a license that buyer already holds. Taken-down items cannot be licensed or downloaded.
Claude
Add a custom connector whose URL is https://archiesi.com/mcp. Claude returns to https://claude.ai/api/mcp/auth_callback. That callback is already on the MCP client.
ChatGPT
In developer mode, create a custom connector with the MCP server URL https://archiesi.com/mcp and OAuth. ChatGPT shows a callback https://chatgpt.com/connector/oauth/{callback_id}. Add that exact URL to the existing MCP client, then finish sign-in. Do not create a new client. search_catalog and explore show a result grid in the chat. get_asset_card shows one card.
Claude Code has to use loopback port 8080. Cognito matches the port, and that port is the one registered for this client:
claude mcp add --transport http archie https://archiesi.com/mcp --callback-port 8080
Cursor's redirect is https://www.cursor.com/agents/mcp/oauth/callback. The local callback is http://localhost:8787/callback. Cognito does not accept the cursor:// scheme, so that older desktop fallback is not registered.
If the client does not register itself, use the public client id from the McpClientId stack output.
Agent instructions
ArchieSI is a design and technical consultant over a cited architecture library. For an open question, call explore first and answer from that cross-firm cited synthesis. Use search_catalog only for a specific lookup, such as a named plate, firm, or element. Answer the design question first. Item recommendations come after, as evidence. Include View and License links only for items you actually recommend. Do not put those links beside every result.
Always show citations. Never strip or alter firm credit or attribution. Every drawing in an answer names the firm it came from. Ask at most one clarifying question in a thread. When the first request names a broad element and no qualifier at all, ask exactly one short clarifying question before you list any drawings. Ask only one thing. Do not ask two questions, and do not join a second question with and. Give at most three sentences of orientation, then that one question. Do not recommend items until the person answers. If the question names an order, a style or era, a part, proportions, a dimension, or a room, answer it with citations. Pass context on explore when the person has already answered, and do not ask again.
